The Parish

BIDDESTONE

The centre of Biddestone is set around the picturesque Village green with a well-stocked duck pond, and surrounded by predominantly 18th-century houses and cottages of various sizes.

Much of the village is a conservation area, with more recent building development on the western side. Planting around the pond is set to generate biodiversity of fauna and flora and continues to thrive.

Biddestone is situated in North Wiltshire, which is in the West of the United Kingdom. Ten minutes from junction 17 of the M4, our nearest town is Corsham (2.4 miles away) and our nearest city is Bath (11.6 miles).

SLAUGHTERFORD

Slaughterford is more isolated in its valley because it can only be approached by means of three, steep, one-track lanes.

It has retained its tranquillity and small size (23 dwellings) while its abundant and unique bio-diversity has so far been conserved for posterity. Most of the houses here are also Grade II Listed buildings.
